Woman Poker Player - Hot and Smart

WARNING: Women can always do tricks to pull you down. Let me tell you a story about a woman whom I’ve seen last year when I got to join the 2007 Pot Limit holdem tournament. She’s in between 30’s and 40’s. So most probably she looks very attractive to men who were all at first busy at the table. But when they laid their eyes on this woman, their attention was diverted into flirting with this woman. I got curious what’s with this woman that makes those men drooling over her. She may be attractive, but not overly gorgeous. But there’s something with her that spells magic, perhaps it’s what they call a woman’s Poker trick.

Here’s the scenario. I was sitting to her left on the second half of the Poker tournament. And so I can see the way she play the game. I saw her making rounds of raises which seemed to be an unchallenged pre-flop. Should there be any challenged past flop, she could have always won the river pot. It’s not only how the play went on that I got to witness. I was also able to witness her flirting with anyone making a bet into her.

An instance was when one Poker player was trying to reach for chips, what she did then was to look at the man and looked down while squeezing her breast and then threw a sly look to that man. It made him laughed and decided to just check. As expected, she completed her draw on the river card and won the big hand without too much effort.

After a while I got the chance to play with her in a hand. A potential flush draw was on the board, but I flop a straight. So what she did was to bet out while I made a raise. Right then, I was surprised when she tried touching my arm and said, “Would you still want to go for a raise?” Perhaps, she was confident that I would give in to her trick so she decided to call a bet. It was just unfortunate for her that I got to check the bet, thus, I potted again while she stayed folded.

After a few minutes break, I got back early at the table so with that woman who grabbed the chance of flirting with me. But since she’s way older than me, I never had that urge to flirt with her. I mentioned earlier about her squeezing of the boobs against her poker opponent. She frankly said that it didn’t work on me. While everybody is already on the table, I responded to her statement to tell her that her tricks won’t work on me because no woman is on a poker table as soon as she sits on it.

The other men looked at me as if they want to yell at me of being a fool. But that woman knew it all along what I mean when I said that. I focused my attention for I know that she’s not just an ordinary player. She must be playing regularly at various casinos in the states. But she can’t do her tricks on me because I knew it right then what type of player she is, a tricky one I should say.

This has won him a lot of money over the years. he works his way back threw the hand and guesses is competitor raised with a Queen Eight sometimes it is as if he can see the hole card cameras. He has worked hard on it and you know he has been wrong a lot of the time. When he isn’t playing good or if he is card dead Texas Hold’em becomes very difficult for him, he relies of his ability to read opponents.

Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu has more world wide career paycheck like those great players of his generation like Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey and Allen Cunningham. Daniel has four bracelets and counting. If you get the chance to play with him, everything is calculated everything he says while in a hand with you is designed for him to have the best outcome. Barbara Enright -WSOP Legend’s Profile

19 Oct , 2008 - Posted by Dan in World Series of Poker

In 1995, Barbara Enright starred a final Poker table that featured Chuck Thompson, Captain Tom Franklin, and concluding champion Dan Harrington. Her legend remained even though it took an unlucky outdraw by Brent Carter to eliminate her from the event. This even made Barbara Enright is the first woman to ever make the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Enright took down the 1996 Pot Limit holdem event for $180,000 and the coveted gold bracelet following her performance in 1995 by becoming the first woman to ever win an open event at the World Series of Poker where she third overall bracelet. in both 1986 and 1994, she won bracelets in the Women’s 7 card stud event.

Her ability as a stud player made Enright known around the Poker world for. Countless of her previous tournament wins and cashes were in Stud.  Not only has she proven herself as a competent No Limit Holdemplayer, she also held numerous cashes and 4 titles in No Limit Holdem. With 11 time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, Enright was inducted into the Professional Poker Hall of Fame in 2007.

2008 has been an excellent year for Enright. She has 10 cashes this year in tournaments, including 6 final tables and 3 wins so far. Enright was inducted into the Women’s Poker
Hall of Fame earlier in 2008. Enright showed the field why she was in the Hall of Fame by winning the event in a tournament as part of the induction festivities.

Barbara is one of the friendliest professionals that you will ever meet from traveling around the tournament circuit. She can play every game inside of a casino better than most men and her friendly personality is not just an act she puts on either. She always is responsive to anyone that approaches her and is very gracious in either victory or defeat whether you see her in LA, Las Vegas, or wherever. Barbara also was gracious enough to teach anyone who is willing to learn about a thing or two about the game of Razz and most of her advice got them started on becoming solid Razz players.

Various of the players were sitting with Enright in the 2006 Orleans Open while discussing the topic of Women’s Only No Limit Holdem events. Barbara said that she enjoys playing in them for the fact that she can go in them and be very aggressive. She says that when a woman goes into a tournament and plays aggressive like a man, they can do very well and that most women play the game too soft.

Even at her age, Barbara Enright is more than a match for many of the players that she faces. She is an old school professional poker player that has been around the block quite a few times. Enright proves that anyone at any age can play this game at a high level despite of the fact that people claim poker to be a young person’s game.
